Update 31 March 2026 - After quite a lot of work behind the scenes, the rapidly growing counter-drone company Sensofusion has completed a strategic acquisition by purchasing Atol Aviation. As a result of the deal, Sensofusion is expanding its capabilities and bringing air-to-ground surveillance systems to market, with the aircraft produced at the company’s factory in Halli, Jämsä.

Update 14 September 2025 - Scandinavian Seaplanes Oy, operating under the marketing name Atol Aviation and aiming to commercialize the first Finnish civilian aircraft, has been fully transferred as debt-free to Finnish co-founder and owner Anssi Rekula.

Update 28 August 2025 - Another engine test run was completed yesterday, again without the wings for easy access to the engine, and we're happy after addressing some concerns with lubrication and cooling. Our pylon-installed Rotax has some unique tweaks compared to standard engines.
